ABOUT
Marley Striem is a twenty-one year old musician from New York City. Primarily known for her bass playing, Marley is a touring and session bassist with an extensive background in both American Popular Music and Jazz. She studied Bass Performance while working toward her Bachelors Degree at Berklee College of Music on a full tuition scholarship. Having graduated in May 2025, a year earlier than anticipated, Marley hit the ground running. Under the mentorship of renowned musicians like Chris Loftlin (Brian McKnight), Kirk Douglas (The Roots), John Patitucci (Chick Corea Band), and others, Marley has cultivated an aptitude for studying the history of music which becomes evident in her playing. Her ethos as a musician prioritzes listening to others and illustrating respect and responsibility towards whatever repertoire she is met with, while offering vibrant and fitting energy in her stage performance.
With versatile and virtuosic abilities beyond the Electric Bass, Marley is also available for Acoustic Bass, Key Bass Synthesizers, and Background Vocals. Marley also has experience with Music Direction and running playback for touring bands.
Available for hire, able to travel. Currently located in LA.
